Long Pause

It’s Medicine again
When I started teaching in the College of Medicine (that was ten years ago), there were around 80 students (foreign and local) in the first year.
Speed stacks, computer games, and savings
Days before school started, I already told my kids that computer games will no longer be allowed once school start, and that they can only play such during weekends.

Coercing a child

A mother in distress
I have seen it countless times in my practice as a physician - mothers in distress when their children fell ill.
Our unattended garden
There is a garden in our backyard where my mom used to frequent. She would spend hours in the place tending to her precious orchids, ferns, and other kinds of plants during weekends, while working as a nurse in the Rural Health Unit in our town on weekdays.
Celebrating Love Day

Celebrating 13 happy years

From paper guns to bakugans
Weeks before Christmas vacation 2008 began, my kids were busy on weekends making paper guns. They do this after they finish their assignments and after studying for their exams.
