Health conscious individuals often abstain from eating chocolates because they have high cholesterol content. But are chocolates really bad for the health? In my opinion, chocolates are not supposed to be eaten everyday as a steady diet. They should only be taken occasionally so that in this way they will not cause harm to the body. As long as one exercises daily or at least 3 to 4 times per week then its okay to indulge once in a while. After all, chocolates contain essential vitamins and minerals and electrolytes like magnesium and potassium.

Chocolates are also rich in serotonin. This is a neurotransmitter or a chemical messenger in the brain that affects the mood, behavior, and appetite. Its lack in the body will cause one to have depression. Chocolates also stimulate the release of endorphins, another chemical produced in the brain. Endorphin is the body's natural pain killer. It binds with the receptors in the brain and spinal cord to arrest signals for pain. It is also responsible for improving the mood thus making one feel happy.

Have you ever wondered why chocolates are often given by men to the women they love? Maybe because they wanted their women to feel happy after eating the chocolates. And since chocolates also contain stimulants, these women are always ready to face the day.

If as you say "chocolates also contain stimulants" then perhaps there are other reasons why men give these as gifts to their ladies!
